Vampire horror · Entrée mini-review
Impact Winter
After a comet changes the world, a group of survivors confronts a vampire threat in a frozen new landscape.
A little more about the listen
Impact Winter understands that audio can make a familiar vampire premise feel immediate again. The short running time keeps the story moving, while the post-impact setting gives the familiar darkness a hard, wintry edge. It feels designed for listeners who want horror with momentum.
The listening experience
The full cast makes the action easy to picture, and the sound design gives the production a cinematic sense of place without asking the listener to look at a screen. Holliday Grainger and the ensemble keep the human relationships visible beneath the monster plot.
Best for
Listeners wanting a fast, cinematic vampire production with strong ensemble energy.
Worth considering for listeners wanting a fast, cinematic vampire production with strong ensemble energy.
The honest note
As an audio drama, it is more episodic and scene-driven than a traditional narrated novel.
